Calm. Quirky. Charming.

"Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly by flooding the river." - Malagasy Proverb

Misty is an independent gal who appreciates attention when she gets it but doesn't constantly need to be cuddled to feel secure. During her alone time she enjoys napping and has no problem playing with toys on her own.

When Misty does want love and affection she will rub against you to get your attention. She also really enjoys some good pets and scritches. Misty has the tendency to give out soft little "love bites" when she is getting affection. Nothing hard but definitely something to watch out for.

You won't hear many meows coming from Misty but she is quite the chirper. You'll think that she's half-bird with how she chirps. Don't' worry though, it's not an excessive amount of chirps.

Misty's ideal home would be a quiet place where she can relax and spend some time by herself when she's looking to get away but also a home that will give her love and affection when she wants it. She will also need a home that will work with her to get her past her "love bites." We don't know how Misty does with kids, or other cats. We think with older kids who won't be startled by her love bites. Misty didn't do great with pups, but she also had kittens with her and might have felt the need to be protective. We always recommend doing a slow introduction to all family members, both fur and human, to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
