Mellow, Calm, Independent

Meet gorgeous Monarch! This young lady is quite the strong independent kitty! She values her 'me time' and knows how to take care of herself! She truly has the brave and powerful blood of a royal running through her veins!

Monarch is coming to understand that humans are not so bad companions after all. Like her big cat ancestors, she is cautious of humans but simply needs time and space to become comfortable and grow out of her shell. She does however love to be around other feline companions and having them around makes her feel more secure. For these reasons we believe that Monarch will do best in a patient, loving home with other cats to help her open up to humans. She is such a lovely girl, and we believe that she has the potential for great love if guided appropriately.

To find out more about this lovely little lady contact us today!

Monarch has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Monarch can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
