Kind, Cuddly, Cutie Pie
Say hello to Sweet Blue! This kitty, as her name implies, is as sweet as can be. She loves to be around her people and purrs nonstop. If you pick her up, she will lean into you for a hug or press her forehead against yours. Sweet Blue is also a big fan of being rolled into a blanket burrito!
While she adores getting attention from her humans when they're home, she is also independent and can entertain herself while you're out of the house. Sweet Blue will definitely want a big hug and some tummy rubs when you return, though!
Generally, Sweet Blue wants to be around her humans, but if she wants some alone time, she'll let out a short hiss to signal that she'll be off on her own for a while. If you've picked her up and she wants to be let down, she'll just squeak at you to let you know.
During the day, Sweet Blue likes to nap. Nothing can move her from her favorite nap spot, not even her favorite toys! At night, however, she gets the zoomies and loves to involve her people in her playtime. You can join Sweet Blue in her nighttime adventures by dangling a wand toy for her. She likes anything that dangles, like ribbons or feathers.
Sweet Blue is beautiful, and she knows it! If she walks by a mirror, she'll pause and just stare at herself for a while. She looks like a little fox! You can also catch her attention by showing her videos of birds and squirrels; she might need her own YouTube account!
When Sweet Blue first met the big dog in her foster home, she was understandably nervous. But with a slow introduction over a few weeks, they are now friends! The two are comfortable together and even cuddle!
Sweet Blue will need some spaces where she can sit alone (corners, boxes without an opening, tables/desks in quiet places, etc.) and room to roam. She also tends to be most active at night so she would prefer a guardian who could give her lots of attention during the evening.

Sweet Blue has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Sweet Blue can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
