Timid, Shadow, Playful

Paper Heart is super playful! He loves all his toys, but his favorite toy is his tail. He could bat and swat at his tail all day long. He isn't a big fan of playing with people yet, but he is great at keeping himself entertained. When Paper Heart is not playing, you can find him sitting in a box or snoozing in the sun. If you are an avid Amazon customer, you might be the perfect match for Paper Heart; he would love to make every empty box that you have into his own mini home!

Paper Heart would also love you if you gave him anything tuna or salmon flavored, he goes bananas for those delicacies. In addition to being a black cat, Paper Heart is extremely quiet. These two traits make it so he appears like a fluffy shadow when he moves around the house.

Paper Heart is a timid cat, and can be skittish around people, but he's come so far since he first arrived at APA! Throwing motions, even if you are only throwing a toy, startle him. He is looking for a quiet forever home with cat-savvy, patient people who will give him the time and space to relax and bloom; he has already made progress in his foster home, gaining trust slowly but surely! All he needs is someone who will continue to strengthen his trust. All this is new to him, he just needs time to settle in and create his new life with his forever humans.

Paper Heart has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Paper Heart can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
