Laid back, independent, rugged

Jughead is super sweet and has over a decade of wisdom to share. He has a whole lot of potential for a small upfront fee of patience and pets.

Jughead is warming up to his foster quickly and becoming more social. He greets them when they come into the room and will follow them around the house, choosing to hang out at their feet until they're ready to move again.

He has a cute little raspy meow with a real Sam Elliot vibe to it. His meow is like an "I enjoy a smoke and a whiskey before bed" style. Jughead is an old cowboy who just needs some breaking in. He even has a stumpy tail and scarred ears to show off how tough he is (not), accented by his beautiful brown and black marble fur pattern.

Calm, cautious, he is a happy little old man who is learning the benefit of human interaction. He comes out for scratches at mealtime. Jughead loves to have his head and neck scratched and will follow you around the room if he thinks you have food. He is not much of a cuddler but he enjoys being with his people.

Due to his older age, his activity level is pretty low. Jughead is looking for a peaceful home with a family who can give him his independence, but also plenty of rubs and scratches when he wants them. He's had positive interactions with his foster's cat. He's a bit wary of dogs but will ignore them if they give him his space.

Jughead is a healthy FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) cat. FIV+ cats typically live long, healthy lives! For more information, please contact APA! or read this FAQ: http://bit.ly/2DPxI43. He also has hematomas in his ears that are still being treated.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
