Are you looking for a sweet, quiet, and lovable orange tabby to brighten up your day? Then look no further than Red Welsh. Red is a very calm, cautious and shy boy, but he also loves to chase toys and he warms up quickly to playing with people. Red is the best of both worlds - he won't pester you or seek out your affection, but he will happily accept any affection you want to give him. He especially loves a good butt and chin scratch!

Red likes to sleep in quiet, dark places, but is very brave when he gets curious. His shyness doesn't stop him from getting pets or yummy treats! He is the sweetest cat his foster has ever met, and when he comes out of his shell, he is the cuddliest and most easy going guy ever!

Red would thrive in a home that is indoors only and adults only, and where there are no dogs. He would love a place where he feels safe and at least. Red came in from another shelter and is looking for a second chance at being that amazing feline companion in a good home. He is being treated for some eye, dental, and inflammation issues, but he still seems to have a ton of pep in his step.

Red has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Red can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

Contact us today to meet this curious and brave boy!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
