Dashingly Dapper certainly lives up to his dashing name! This gorgeous black kitty has the softest coat of fur and the children in his foster home just adore him. They refer to him as the cutest kitty ever. He loves to snuggle up to humans and the children follow him around at all hours. They exclaim, "Look at him, lying there on the floor! So cuuuute! " They pet him and dangle toys, and he tends to seek them out when they are watching TV.

Dapper alternates between playful, running like a madman down the hallway, chasing his tail, batting at any passersby, to zonked out, super relaxed, and ready to snuggle. He loves to follow a string on a stick wherever you lead him. He is an easy playmate who runs after anyone who wants to stimulate him with a little dangly toy. He also loves to wind around legs (sometimes getting in the way of your path!) and bat at your feet, play pouncing. Once he's gets out the zoomies, and when he's wound down, he will fully relax and purr up next to you for long stretches of time, enough to binge watch Netflix with him.

Dapper is a quiet boy, he mews if he is in great need, like wishing access to kitty litter box but the door is closed. He's generally quiet. He does tend to pounce a lot. It's playful, but with his kitten claws, he needs redirection on leaving alone the furniture or legs. He takes a bit of time to warm up to humans initially, but within 2-3 days, he becomes the best cuddle buddy.

Dapper would love to have a home with affectionate humans who engage with their feline friends and enjoy playful kitten activity and also snuggling.

Dapper has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Dapper can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
