Playful, Cuddly, Energetic

Meet Bookstore Babe! This white and tabby dude is positively adorable, with a sweet little clipped ear and pink and black speckled paws.

In addition to being an absolute stunner, Bookstore Babe has an awesome, well-rounded personality. He's truly as cuddly as he is high energy -- he definitely has that play hard, snuggle/nap hard balance going! He loves playing with anything and everything, including your feet if you're wearing thick socks. He honestly hasn't come across a toy that he doesn't like (string, balls, mouse toys, rattle balls with feathers, you name it, and he will play with it -- he's not picky at all!). After a good play session, though, quality nap times are in order -- he's such a snuggle bug and will fall asleep purring. Most of all, he loves being in the same room as you as much as possible and will follow you around to achieve this closeness.

Even with being very high energy, Bookstore Babe has proven himself extremely well-behaved so far -- he's mostly just very playful and curious! He did initially try to eat the plants and scratch at the rug in his foster home, but he is pretty easy to redirect -- an all natural bitters spray for the plants and a flat scratching board next to the rug seem to have done the trick. He's a fast learner and just needs an outlet for his playful energy.

Bookstore Babe would appreciate a home with someone who would love to play as well as cuddle with him very frequently. He is good with kids and has had positive past experiences with dogs. He won't, however, be able to live with other cats unless they too are FeLV+, and he must remain an indoor-only cat (see next paragraph). As long as he remains indoors, he loves having windows to look out of -- he enjoys chirping at the birds and squirrels outside :) This guy is truly very special and can't wait to become your forever companion!

Bookstore Babe has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Bookstore Babe can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

Because a single image can't even begin to translate Bookstore Babe's cuteness, check out photos and videos of him in action here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ndop8bTk6CmM0Wrn4jwCgnSXkiVldxIB?usp=sharing

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Bookstore Babe, please email [email protected].
