Observant; Affectionate, Attentive:

Rebel Yell is a young cat, new to shelter life. He arrived with two siblings (Riot Boy and Meowlotov Cocktail), and together they playfully get along well.

Toys are not Rebel Yell's top priority. He enjoys playing with another cat or human rather than by himself. Give him the opportunity to track a fringe ball attached to a wand and off he chases. He battles a ball one moment, than jumps into a tug-of-war with his brother.

When first approached he may stay back to take in what will happen next. Treats help ease the introduction! Once he realizes the human is friendly, he turns into an affection sponge. He stretches forward for chin scratches, and rolls onto his back to peer at you upside-down until you start rubbing his belly. Turn on his 'rebel yell' purr with scratches to his shoulders, top of his head, or back.

Rebel Yell has not yet interacted with dogs or children. Since he has not shown any aggressive behavior, it is believed with patience and short, introductions, he should adapt well to either.

Rebel Yell is a healthy Feline Leukemia positive cat. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Rebel Yell can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

Rebel Yell is a sweet boy looking for a forever home where he will grow and mature. He should do well in a single or multi-member family, either as the only cat or with other FeLV+ cats.

All APA! cats are, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime fully vetted our Cat Behavior Team.
