Playful, Sweet, Loving

You're going to fall for Foley! She absolutely loves getting attention, and you'll love giving it to her. Even around new people, Foley is very outgoing and affectionate. She will let you pet her for as long as you're willing to, purring the entire time!

Foley came to APA as a stray with an eye infection and injured bottom gums. She currently doesn't have any bottom teeth because of the injury, so chewing dry food is a little difficult for her. Despite her unknown past, Foley is sweet as can be and seems very happy to be in a home where she's getting lots of love!

Foley is very affectionate with her foster people and loves being petted and getting belly rubs. She's earned herself the nickname, Flip Flop, since she loves flopping around on the ground while you're petting her. If you're petting or rubbing her, there's a 99% chance Foley is purring as loud as she possibly can! She doesn't meow very often, but when she does it's only because she wants more attention!

Since you realistically can't give her attention 24/7 (as much as she would love that), Foley is just as happy napping near you while you're working or busy with other things. She also enjoys playing, especially with toys she can chase around the room. The feather toy is her current favorite!

Overall, Foley is pretty easy going, but she does get startled by loud noises and will sometimes hide under the bed if she hears something that spooks her. When she first came to her foster home, Foley was confined to a small room so she wouldn't be too intimidated by a larger area. However, that seemed to stress her out since she was overgrooming. Once she had free range of the house, she was much happier being where the people were!

Foley's interactions with other cats is unknown, but she gets along well with the resident dog. She mostly ignores the dog, but will give him a gentle swat if he gets too close. Her perfect forever home is one with people who are home often since being near humans is so important to her. A quieter home that is less prone to loud noises would also be ideal since she startles easily - so young, chaotic kids should probably be avoided!

If you prefer quieter environments and you're looking for a very affectionate kitty who will love you unconditionally, Foley would be a great fit for you!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
