Sum 41 is going to rock your socks off! Calm, brave, curious, affectionate, and happy are just a few words to describe this perfect pal. He's the sum total of perfect!
When you bring Sum home, he will pop right out of his carrier and greet you with nuzzles and purrs. He will bravely explore your place without scratching or marking, and he'll be happy to immediately hang out with you. Sum doesn't seem to like being up high, and will grab on tight when you pick him up. He will occasionally hang out in a cat tree, but it doesn't seem to be his favorite thing.
Sum is a laid-back lad and is extremely easy. He is the best of both worlds because he will dip in and out for pets then go lay down by himself not far from you. He is not very vocal, but has sweet little trills and sometimes full-blown meows. If you lay down, he will lay on your neck/face/head and lick your face all over to show you how much he loves you.
Sum loves to quickly scamper and chase things across the floor, and just loves wands, bouncy balls, and things that slide and move easily and quickly along the floor. He also loves to roll around in the little collapsible nylon tunnel, and dives through it at things dangling on the other side. He'll pounce on top of it and collapse it and then let it all spring back up into shape - it's just adorable!
Sum does great with the litter box and with food when there's a flat plate or saucer. As long as you can play with him during the day, he's a perfectly content pal.
Sum 41 has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Sum 41 can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
