Kind-hearted. Cautious. Affectionate.

"We mustn't dwell. No, not today. We can't! Not on Rex Manning day!"
-- Empire Records

You will want to get in line to meet dreamy Rex Manning Day! He's a handsome black house panther with the tiniest white spot on his chest. Rex may be a little wary of attention at first. Sudden motions or unknown sounds make him jumpy and he needs time to acclimate to new surroundings. With a little patience and the temptation of wet food, Rex Manning Day will slowly start to warm up. The small effort it takes to earn his trust is very rewarding because soon Rex becomes the sweetest, snuggliest fella.

Rex Manning Day enjoys playing with mouse toys on a cat tree, but he enjoys playing with humans even more. Laser pointers are his favorite and Rex will give you quite the show while he tries to catch the red dot.

Rex Manning Day's most favorite thing is snuggling. You'll often find him under your feet, quietly asking for attention. Point to the couch and Rex will meet you there, waiting for his pets. You'll know he's chosen you when he rolls over and asks for belly rubs. Rex has often gotten so caught up in the cuddle time that he's lost his balance and nearly toppled off the couch! If that happens, don't worry, he'll hop back up and ask for more pets.

Because of his shyness, Rex Manning Day would really do best in a quiet home without children. We don't know how he does with dogs and other cats, but we can imagine he'd make an excellent only kitty for someone with a lot of love and affection to give.

Rex Manning Day is a healthy FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) cat. FIV+ cats typically live long, healthy lives! For more information, please contact APA! or read this FAQ: http://bit.ly/2DPxI43

Rex Manning Day has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Rex can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
