Chill, Confident, Curious

IOU Cola's coat was shaved prior to arriving at APA! because he was unkempt and severely matted when he was first rescued. However, his long, black coat is growing back in gorgeously and he is well on his way to becoming the next top model!

Most of IOU Cola's days are spent cuddling with his humans. He can be enticed into playing with fishing pole-type toys or laser pointers, but his interest in those only lasts about five minutes at a time. IOU Cola much prefers to sit on the window sill or snuggle up to his humans. He'll even jump up in your arms and demand to be carried like a baby!

IOU Cola is an excellent timekeeper, he'll always meow at you when it's close to mealtimes so that you never forget to feed him! He also gets chatty while he's waiting for you to get out of the shower. We like to think he's just checking on you to make sure you're okay while he can't see you.

IOU Cola does show some food aggression, but his foster is working with him on that issue and he is showing lots of improvement. IOU Cola is super smart and a great student!

Currently, IOU Cola is living with a few small dogs and he is very comfortable around them. IOU Cola has no problems when the dogs get close to him for some sniffs or licks.

While he gets along with small dogs, IOU Cola is definitely more of a people lover. The ideal home for him would be one where his humans will be home often and able to spend lots of time with him.

If you're looking for a snuggly, sweet companion, look no further than IOU Cola! Contact us soon to meet him!

IOU Cola has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. IOU Cola can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
