Curious, Affectionate, Happy
Das Baby is ready for das love! He may seem a little shy at first, but don't mistake that for a lack of affection. Once he has a chance to give you a good sniff, he'll press the top of his head against your hand for scratching. When he's really comfortable, he'll flop over and stretch all four legs in the air, and he might even reach out a paw to bring your hand in to pet him! Das Baby gets a little weary if he is being picked up or held for too long, but he will tolerate it when needed. He likes brushing in small doses, and he'll bump the brush with his head the same way he does hands. Once he gets to know you, he's very sweet and loving, and enjoys getting pets and cuddling with his human!
When you're getting to know Das Baby, don't hesitate to offer him treats! He is highly food motivated -- yummy, crunchy treats are the quickest way to win his heart. Soon enough, you'll find yourself with a mellow kitty who enjoys taking naps and being super cute... he's a pro at both! He is also a curious fellow who likes to explore his surroundings once he's comfortable. Until then, he prefers having a space that he can retreat to if needed.
Das Baby is tolerant of dogs and hangs out with his kitty roommates at APA! just fine. He's pretty chill!
Ready to meet this laid-back tabby sweetheart? His joy for the simple pleasures in life will make you pause and appreciate them more yourself. You know, like the happy purr of a kitty who thinks your touch is heavenly. Das Baby will show you what we mean! Contact us for an introduction!
Das Baby has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Das Baby can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
