Fluffy, Independent, Playful

Fluffy Firefly is just like his name applies. With a gorgeous fluffy, blue and white fur coat, he lights up a room like a firefly.

He was surrendered to APA!, and is now looking for a forever home. He is an adult cat that is calm, friendly and playful. He loves human contact and for them to play games with him; especially to have a toy tossed across the room so he may fetch it. He is curious about his surroundings and investigates new noises or objects; and can also be laid back and just hang out somewhere quiet.

As an adult cat he already understands the use of a litter box and scratch pads. He is very easy to care for and requires low maintenance. Since he has moderate long hair, a good brushing is helpful to keep him looking handsome. Currently his beautiful fur is short on his sides due to over grooming. But his hair will grow back.

He makes his own decisions. He does what he likes to do and when he desires to do so. On occasion he may scratch if forced confinement is placed upon him.

He likes a calm, quiet environment. It is unknown if he has any experience with kids or dogs. Most likely with slow introductions to either, if they have calm personalities, he could become their friend.

Fluffy Firefly has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Fluffy Firefly can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
