Friendly, Super-sweet, Love-machine

Dixie has not met a human that she does not love! She is extremely affectionate, even to strangers! She comes running when you call her and starts purring as soon as she is touched. She has an adorable way of weaving back and forth through your legs, just like those fancy dogs who are taught to dance with their people. But, no training required for this girl - a happy heart does the trick!

Dixie narrowly escaped being euthanized at another shelter where she was running out of time due to overcrowding. APA! swept in and saved this sweet angel who was clearly destined to have a full life filled with love, happiness and cherished moments with her humans.

You may have noticed the beautiful black and white kitty in most of Dixie's photos. That is her very best friend, Gypsy, who was rescued along with her. These two are so rarely apart that it is difficult to get a photo of one without the other! They always sleep together, play and eat with each other, use each other as pillows and give each other loving baths multiple times a day! Their foster has said in 9 years of fostering she has never seen two closer cats and that they definitely should not be separated.

Dixie enjoys playing with her ball on the track and wand toys. But, the laser is her absolute favorite toy! She is most playful in the morning, but is also happy spending most of the day sleeping and cuddling with Gypsy. She does like to make sure you are not going at things too hard and will occasionally interrupt your work or reading for scratches, pets and cuddles. A kitty break is good for the soul after all.

We have not seen Dixie around kiddos. But, she is so chill and friendly that she would likely do fine with them. She has not been around dogs. But, she and Gypsy are huge fans of the Snoop Dogg pillow in their foster home. So, anything is possible!

Dixie is such a gentle, loving girl who deserves to spend a long, happy life alongside her soulmate Gypsy in a loving, forever home. Could it be that their destiny is to be with you? Contact us for an introduction and see!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
