Loving, Cuddly, Purr-Machine

Al-y is a sweet and loving companion. Some of his favorite activities include snuggling, playing with his toys (and you), and purring. He loves to hop up on the couch, or bed, or sit on the floor right next to or on top of you to receive his many daily rations of pets and cuddles. Sometimes he will shadow you around the house just to be close to you.

Al-y recently had enucleation eye surgery because both eyes were severely infected (he was either completely or mostly blind already), and the infections could have caused serious health issues to him. He was also neutered on the same day. What a trooper! He took it all in stride and is healing wonderfully.

Al-y's blindness is not a hindrance -- actually, when you watch him go about his day, he seems to have super powers! Al-y roams his huge foster home independently, climbs up and down a large staircase, and scales a tall cat tree as though he has eyes in the front and back of his head! His whiskers, eyebrows (growing back from the surgery), memory, and keen sense of smell tell him all he needs to know about his environment to navigate its many obstacles! Chances are, you'll likely forget Al-y is blind!

Al-y must be an indoor cat, however, and care must be taken that he does not get outside. The world is a big, unpredictable place with so many smells and other creatures! Also, take care to introduce Al-y to new obstacles and new furniture orientations so he doesn't smack into something unexpected when he's bounding around.

You will be so rewarded by adopting this most beautiful companion. He has SO MUCH love to give!!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
