Sweetheart. Independent. Pro biscuit maker.

Who is the Masked Meow? She's a beautiful calico-tabby mix with incredibly soft fur and the prettiest green eyes.

Masked Meow can be a little shy when first presented with new faces and places. She needs a little space and time to make herself comfy, and she enjoys having plenty of time to herself in a cozy hiding spot. But although she's independent, she also loves people! Once she's comfortable, she'll come out of hiding regularly in search of human affection.

Masked Meow LOVES to be pet. She isn't particular about where she is touched - she'll take head scratches, butt scratches, or even belly rubs. When she gets pet, Masked Meow will writhe around on the floor making air biscuits. Sometimes she'll even make biscuits on the floor when she's sitting up. She sort of lifts her front paws up and down on the floor. It's super cute.

Masked Meow is a talker! She likes to announce her presence and express her affection with her tiny, squeaky meow. When she's really happy, she'll even chirp like a bird.

Her ideal family would want to give Masked Meow lots of pets and attention, but would be patient and willing to give her some space while she gets used to them. Masked Meow would be the perfect companion for anyone who just wants a sweet kitty to pet while they relax with a book or in front of the TV.

Masked Meow has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Masked Meow can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
