Energetic, Handsome, Smart

Mountain Chicken is a handsome black and white cat that is new to the world, but has the personality of an observant scholar. Mountain first started off annoyed with humans but with his foster, he's learning to enjoy their company and the fun toys they bring! Some of his favorite toys include a stuffed mouse, ping pong balls, and lasers.

Mountain has several siblings including a brother, Sarcastic Fringehead (APA! ID 98991) who really relies on him and looks up to him. Mountain is teaching his brother how to navigate this huge scary world while learning about it himself! It would be great if they could be adopted together so that Mountain could continue to care for Fringehead, who needs extra time and kindness to learn to trust humans. If you are good with shy kitties, Mountain and Fringehead want to meet you!

Don't mistake Mountain's personality for being unempathetic! Just because this handsome guy isn't much for conversation, doesn't mean that he can't sense your emotions. Because we kind of think he can. He is SMART.

If you're looking for that perfect companion cat who will enjoy a quiet weekend among books and isn't fussy, Mountain Chicken might be your guy.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
