Kitty Buddy, Work-from-Home Companion, Sweet Soul

Whoever named Amica got it 100% right! Her name means buddy, pal, loved friend; and it doesn't matter which language you check, they all describe Amica perfectly. Because she is an extremely sweet and friendly kitty who looooves to be near her person! She will seek you out multiple times during the day to give you an affectionate headbutt. She will snuggle for a little bit when you pick her up, and then she wants down; she will settle blissfully near you. She is such a great companion, and will create camaraderie with everyone in the house! She's friendly when she meets new people, too.

Amica also likes to play with toys, watch things out the window, and stretch out in a sunbeam! She is particularly adept at playing soccer; she has her favorite balls that she throws in air and then dribbles them around. She also likes to play with feather toys and yarn.

Amica has a chill nature, though she doesn't like it when she sees another cat in "her" yard! She would likely prefer to be the only cat in the house; if not, she would do best with a slow and proper introduction to another easy-going and nice cat.

Amica will keep her eye on you during the day, patrol the corners, and keep watch out the window! She will respond with a "what's up?" meow when you talk to her.

She's also beautiful! Maybe a Bombay mix? Regardless, her black coat is stunning and her eyes are bright and gorgeous.

Amica may have an allergy to something, and it is getting better with meds. She needs for her humans to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't get itchy.

Amica is looking for a home with a person or multiple people! She will be your best friend, and you will love her sweetness, her affection, and her companionship. Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet!

Amica has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Amica can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
