Inquisitive, Tranquil, Playful

Helvetica wants to introduce himself. He is a cat of mixed inner beauty that blend together perfectly. From moderately active to a real, chill fellow. He will capture your heart.

He may be a couch potato or very playful. He has a good mix. He likes lots of hiding places and toys to play with.

He loves to chase things. So naturally he is driven by wand and laser toys! Watch him scamper, reach, jump and look very proud when the toy is captured, or surprised when the laser light disappears just as he thought he caught it. Check out the photos and videos of him!

Helvetica is a fun cat that likes to talk. One may hear him from the other room and wonder what is happening. He may say hello when you enter his room, or hear food or treats placed into a bowl.

He is anxious in new places, and will need patience while adjusting to his new forever home. It is unknown his experience to other cats, dogs or children. He came from another rescue organization and did have exposure to other cats. He will need slow introductions to new humans and critters.

Some cats that live without proper veterinary care may contract a condition that is common in a feline community. Helvetica has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Helvetica can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

Helvetica would do well in a low stress forever home with patient humans. He will need to remain indoors, and the only cat he may be around will also need to be Feline Leukemia positive.

Come and meet this grand, tabby guy and find out all about him. One may be surprised that adopting a FeLV positive cat isn't much different from other cats.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
