Introducing Cooper, a dashing 2-year-old, house-trained mixed breed. Cooper currently lives alone in his foster home, but he is good with other dogs! He can come across a dog during a walk, and be friendly with them. He has observed children from a distance and hasn't reacted to them, so he may be fine in a home with children.

Cooper is currently working on his manners as he does some playful biting and jumping, but his foster said these behaviors are diminishing and he should be fine with redirection. Cooper has adjusted well to his crate and is able to spend some time in there. This means you can go out and about running your errands and relax knowing Cooper is safe in his crate.

Cooper is a 2 year old handsome and active gentlemen looking for a home with lots of love to give!! Cooper would love to spend his time snuggling up with his people while getting belly rubs and kisses. He shows his affection by giving away his kisses, lying down at your feet and requesting you to play with him.

He gets excited going out for walks, and does well on leash. He is dog friendly, and has no problems with dogs being around and in fact he might love to have a canine pal at home!

He might get too excited during playtime, and he is already learning not to jump and mouth his people while playing. He is very friendly to strangers, and would love to get a lot of pets and treats from everyone! He might fit well in an active home where he can tag along with his people most of the day, but he never minds spending a few hours alone when nobody is around, too.

Do you have room in your heart and a place in your home for the handsome, friendly Cooper?

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.

Say "Yes" for Sapphire this Giving Tuesday

Living as a stray, Sapphire was struck by a car. She was bleeding, writhing in pain from nerve damage and bruised ribs — and pregnant.
