Lacey is a very smart girl, and she's learning that humans and houses can actually be quite safe. This sweet, young pup came to her foster home very shy and fearful, but is learning that home life is the good life and she is building her confidence each day!

This playful girl has especially benefitted from her fosters' resident dogs. She looks to other canine friends for comfort and assurance. She loves to initiate play with them, but also takes their cues well when it's time to relax...a very nice balance. She is happiest in the company of another dog, and so it is important that her adoptive home offers a doggie sibling, with whom she can continue to blossom and learn.

At the age of nearly two, she has youthful energy, but is also content to nap and self-entertain with a toy or two. She loves being outdoors romping around, or enjoying long walks or hikes. She's a wonderful leash walker who may pull a bit when she sees a squirrel or cat, but given a treat, she redirects easily. She's a curious and very trainable girl (again, her love of food helps!) and is learning to answer to commands. When she hears the word "crate, she runs to it, eagerly awaiting her treat. She doesn't love being left alone in it, but she can be. She enjoys puzzle games and chew toys.

She is fully house-trained, having had no accidents in her newest foster home. She sleeps quietly through the night and is an easy house guest. Lacey will be happy in a home with parents and older teenage kids (and a dog sibling) who can continue to help build her confidence. And she'll love being active with you on those walks or hikes! Come meet this pretty girl!
