Clemente came in as a stray and the poor guy was in horrible condition. He is incredibly sweet, but he has something going on medically that his shelter cannot figure out. He is very skinny and has only gained 4 lbs in over a month although he eats well. His poor little feet are also bleeding from the concrete. He is very loving and tries to walk back and forth when someone goes by his cage for attention. All he wants is to spend time with people and other dogs. His shelter will have to euthanize him if he can't get a foster because they don't have the resources to dig further into his medical issues.
Update from the shelter on 4/26!: "He is healing nicely and he is such a sweet, goofy boy. He LOVES treats and is slowly learning basic commands, but we believe that a foster home would provide him the kind of environment that he could thrive in and learn well. Clemente went on a walk today and he was such a good boy. Loretta said he stayed right by her side and didn't pull. He is super sweet and has overcome a lot of trauma in his young life. Now he just needs the perfect foster home to help him over his last few hurdles and then on to a forever home. Fingers crossed someone can foster him soon!"
Can you take him in?
