Letty is a lovely pup. Letty loves her walks and looks forward to them. She also enjoys being petted and having her beautiful, shiny black coat brushed. A senior, she is happy and active. She prances around in the grass, the plume of her tail waving gently from side to side.

Now in foster, Letty has very good house manners. While she has a big crate with a special mattress that she can use anytime, she has also been doing well for several hours at a time in the house on her own. Her foster reports that when they return, they usually find her waiting, snoozing by the back door.

So far, her interactions with other dogs have been limited to casual distant meetings during walks. Her previous shelter has noted that she does not do well with cats. Her interactions with children are not known. Letty eats well and enjoys her meals. She doesn't jump up on couches, beds, or furniture, and prefers sleeping in her bed near her foster rather than in her crate. She is heartworm positive, but all that means is that she'll need a couple of months of rest during treatment, at APA!'s expense. Come meet this adorable girl!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 12:00PM - 6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!

Come meet your new best friend
