"Melrose (Melly!) is the sweetest boy with the squishiest, wrinkliest, cutest face! His floppy ears and hilarious personality constantly make me laugh!" - Andrea T.

Melrose is a big-time water dog who loves playing with the hose, splashing in kiddie pools, swimming in big kid pools, and chasing fishies in quiet lakes and streams. His favorite things are sniffing around quiet nature paths, and then settling down with a fun puzzle toy followed by a good cuddle session on the couch with his humans and favorite stuffy toys! Melly is a volunteer and staff favorite for so many reasons, most of all for his emoji-dog face and his goofy, awkward personality. How can you not love those forever puppy ears too!

Melly is looking for a home with a fenced in yard to himself. He had the opportunity to spend a few weeks in short term foster care earlier this year, and he proved that he knows how to take himself out to potty and that he loves to sleep in and watch TV with his humans. He also proved that he is not destructive at all when his humans left and was able to settle nicely on the couch or bed. Melrose needs a person to take a chance on him! And he will show them how hilarious and silly and how wonderful he can be. Please inquire about meeting him today!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 12:00PM - 6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!
