If you come to meet Mika, she may ask for your ID, but then she'll quickly smother you with puppy love. Of course, she'll want your love, too. So she'll hop in your lap and roll over on her back for your belly rubs - and that petting she adores.

This very active, playful puppy is having so much fun in foster. She has fun chasing and pouncing on her balls and will even entertain herself by tossing and pouncing on them. She also enjoys running through the sprinkler and being sprayed by the water hose. Then she's content to chew her toys.

Mika follows her fosters' dog around and urges him to play with her. Sometimes he'd rather not, so she's learning to let him go snooze. Instead, she'll go play with their teenage son. She's also happy to go for walks, learning about leash walking. At home, she sleeps in her crate overnight, and she settles down in it and plays with her toys while her fosters are away. And she's making progress on her house-training.

Mika will love a home with a doggie housemate who matches her energy and playfulness, and she'll love parents who can continue her training. Come meet her. She'll hope to be your frisbee pup! And you can see more about her on Instagram: toxinfreemom

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
