Introducing Louie, a happy-go-lucky house-trained puppy and sweet little bundle of joy. Louie lives in a foster home with other dogs and wants to say hello to them. This means he can live in a home with dogs and is young enough to adapt to a home with kids and cats!

Louie is playful, but not athletic. He leash walks well and once he starts walking, he is happy to continue. He pulls slightly but wants to follow you. He is super smart. Louie will quickly switch from chewing a toy to something else but returns to his toy when redirected.

Louie loves attention and cuddling. He loves it so much that if new people give it to him, they're his friends!! Louie loves to just be by you. He will fall asleep as long as he can touch you or sense you are near. If you pet him in the right spots, he loves it. He does well in his crate with his stuffed animal when his fosters are away. And he is house-trained, doing his business shortly after going outside and wants to come back indoors.

Louie ranges from couch potato when he is tired to crazy puppy when he needs to tire himself out. He will chase bugs and lizards outside. He also is super food motivated. He will randomly sit where his food is made and just stare up at the counter.

Louie will fit well in a house where he gets to be part of the action but won't expect to be an athlete. Right now, he is more of a couch potato than an athlete. He is a happy, silly, goofy puppy!

Do you have room in your heart and a place in your home for the sweet, mellow Louie? Come meet Louie today!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
