Star is a very smart girl who's so curious about everything in her world. She loves going for walks, and those can take a while because she wants to sniff and investigate everything she sees. Then she'll find a patch of shady grass where she can sit down and watch what's going on around her. She can be quite adventurous on her walks, and when she gets home she's happy to lounge on the porch to watch the world go by.

Star can sometimes be suspicious of new people she meets. On her walks, she'll stop by porches to greet and sniff neighbors, but doesn't want to be petted by them. She doesn't immediately trust new visitors at home, either. But once she gets acquainted, she starts to approach them, with her tail wagging. Now in foster care, she loves being scratched and petted all day by her fosters, giving them a gentle paw and nose nudge and her tail thumping when they arrive home. She is house-trained and free roams the house, snoozing nicely when her fosters are away.

This gentle, sweet lady will love to be the only pet in a low-traffic home with one or two of her favorite people. She'll prefer adults because energetic, excited kids can unnerve her. She'll enjoy a yard where she can lounge and watch the world go by, but also has done very well in an apartment. Come meet her. She'll check you out - and then want your petting!
