Sitter needed: 6/5/2023 - 6/14/2023

Malcom is an outgoing young pup who's very fascinated by his new world. He enjoys going on walks with his foster dad and can be very interested in those new animals and people he sees and interesting objects he sees and smells. He will try to get close to them, but if tugged with his leash, he's happy to return to walking.

He does love to meet new people and is very friendly to them. And he loves to interact and play with other dogs, especially when he can wrestle and chase them. So he does best with pups his size or a little larger. He's also briefly met a friend's cats and wanted to sniff and try to play with them. They just weren't interested.

At home, Malcom likes to be close to his foster, kissing his face and hands, and loves to be petted on his head and belly. He also likes to go out to play fetch.

A smart, confident boy, he understands sit, and does well in his crate, going in for treats or a toy and taking naps. He does well there or free-roaming when his foster is away from home. And he is house-trained.

An easygoing boy, Malcom will love a home with pet parents who are home often but will do fine at home alone for reasonable times. He will love a dog buddy to play with but does well when alone with a couple of toys and a rawhide to chew. Come meet him. Offer him a new world tour and he'll run home with you!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
