Deputy Dale is a high-energy little guy who can keep up with the best. He loves to play and loves it when his humans play with him. Even if you don't want to, he will find a way to play with you. He likes to place his ball on his foster so it will roll off and he can fetch it!

This clever, smart boy loves his people and is very affectionate to them. He's a cuddle buddy especially if he has something to chew or a movie to watch! He is just super curious about everything around him.

If you are watching TV or on your phone, he loves to look at what you're doing and will listen to the sounds. When his foster mom watches a movie, he curls up right next to her! He also likes cartoons and loves to have treats and will chew on them next to you.

He loves to be outside, running around. He also loves other dogs and always wants to say hi and play with them. And he lives with cats and just wants to play with them, too.

Deputy Dale does well with a lot of physical and mental stimulation. He is house- and crate-trained and understands basic commands. He is good when left home alone in his crate.

Deputy will love to be in a home with someone who will take him on lots of long walks or runs. If he has pet friends, they need to be patient and playful since he will want to play with them and can become nippy when excited. Come offer to play with this boy and he'll hop home with you!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
