If you come to meet Beans, this sweet puppy will be shy at first, but when you offer him a treat or a toy, he will warm up very quickly, wagging his tail. And when you offer to play with him, he'll get rowdy and want to chew on your shoes! He's so much fun!

Now in foster, this playful boy loves running around the yard, playing tug-o-war and chewing on those rocks and sticks he finds. He always wants to go outside to run around and play with anyone. Then he loves to come in to cuddle with his foster mom and take naps. And he loves getting petting on his back and behind his ears. He also wants to play with his foster's dogs and her cat, but so far, they're reluctant.

When Beans is excited to go outside for walks and likes where he's going, he does well on his leash, just sometimes trying to chew it. He's super smart and motivated by treats, so he's making good progress on his obedience training, already understanding sit, paw and here and working on down.

He goes in his crate when it's time to eat and sleeps nicely in it. He doesn't mind being left alone and does well when his foster is away. And he is making progress on his house-training.

Beans will love a home with active parents, and he will do well with additional training. He'll also love doggie housemates who can run around and play with him. Come meet this boy. He will promise to be your very loyal playmate!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
