Meet Blade, the sharp witted, energetic pup of your dreams! Blade is perfect for numerous reasons: he gets along well with other dogs (he even tries to mimic their behavior!), he's house trained with a squeaky clean record, and he's perfect on the leash.

Blade's previous owner docked his tail when he was still a young pup, so that is still healing, but other than that, Blade is healthy and happy! As he's still relatively young, he's still learning that barking and jumping aren't acceptable ways to get someone's attention, and he's discovering how to show his love and affection for his humans.

Blade's active, and loves to run around and play with both his dog friends and his people friends! He gets extremely restless when he's left in a crate for long periods of time during the day-he wants to burn that energy off while he's still young! Blade plays, then relaxes, then repeats. He likes his dog friends. He loves his people. His energy is not like a really big dog running zoomies. It's more play wrestling, jumping up to see his person and trotting around the house to check stuff out and get his food in his crate.

He has good attention for his age, and he's the sweetest boy you'll ever meet. Take him home today!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
