Mahogany is a cuddly puppy who's already such a fan of people. He always wants to be near humans and loves being held and cuddled. And he loves going for walks and is learning how to play with them. On his walks, he always wants to say Hi to people he sees, and then at home he'll bring you his toys and sit on your foot so you'll play with him.

This active, playful boy also loves running and playing tug-o-war with his foster's small dog, and he shares toys with him. After his nature walks, he plays with his foster mom and his chewie toys, then naps on pillows in his crate or sunbathes on the couch or in a window. He loves most toys - big and small, plushies and squeakers.

On his walks, Mahogany is very friendly to other dogs he sees. He also met two 4- and 8-year-old kids and was very gentle with them. They played together for a half hour. He hasn't met cats yet, but his foster believes he will adapt well with them.

At home, he's beginning to learn commands and already understands sit. He was first cautious with stairs, but he learns fast and has mastered them. He also does well in his crate, sleeping there all night, and he's making good progress on his house-training.

Mahogany will certainly love a home with those humans he adores, and he will enjoy dogs, kids and probably cats. He'll also enjoy two walks a day and will want to continue his training. Come meet this lovable puppy. And you can see more about him on Instagram: AdoptMahogany.

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
