If you would love to have a furry companion sit with you in a coffee shop, or even a brewery, Brownie can be your girl. This active young girl loves going for car rides and long walks. Then she'll be happy to hang out with you in those shops, not having drinks but just those fruits and veggies she loves.

Brownie loves meeting other dogs on her walks and loves to play with them if she can. She's also excited to see young kids. At home, she gets along very well with her foster's dog. She's also interested in their cat and sniffs him through a gate, but she tries to play with him a bit too aggressively.

She is pretty independent, but she likes to sit close to her foster mom on the couch or fall asleep on her. She will greet her with a toy. Then she's off to sunbathe in a patch of light and chew and play with those toys.

Brownie is extremely smart and learns commands quickly. When she hears "place she goes in her crate, lays down, and does well there when her fosters are away from home. When she hears "night night she sleeps quietly there until morning.

She understands many other commands. She's a very good leash walker. She loves to sniff, but if she hears "this way she keeps walking. She's very close to being house-trained, going to the door to go outside.

This easygoing girl will love a home with pet parents who have training experience and a doggie housemate. She will enjoy an active lifestyle and access to a yard. Come offer Brownie a car ride. She'll run home with you!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
