If you have toys that want to be played with, Ikora can be their playmate. He loves toys! He loves to play tug-o-war with his toys, with his fosters and their elderly dog. Then he's happy to curl up in his fosters' laps to wrestle and play, and finally, he gets tired and falls asleep on them.

Ikora is a curious, adventurous, and energetic puppy who also likes running around outdoors and finding rocks to chew. Then he's happy to come inside for treats. He's a well-behaved, quiet boy who goes into his crate with toys and sleeps there all night. He does well there or free roaming the house or yard when his fosters are away from home.

Ikora can be a bit nervous when first meeting people. But warms up to them quickly. He can also be a bit scared when seeing cats outdoors, and he knows he should stay away from them. At home, this smart boy is beginning his training, already understanding sit. And he's making progress on his house training.

Ikora will love a home with pet parents who can continue his training. He will also love a doggie housemate and a backyard where he can play and explore with his curiosity. Come meet this sweet boy. Offer him a toy and he'll adopt you!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
