If you come to meet Pickelback, he will be so excited to hear the doorbell ring. He knows that means someone is visiting, and he will welcome you with his tail wagging and wagging. Then he'll want to show you how to play with him!

Pickelback loves playing with his fosters in the backyard. He plays tag with them and most of the time he wins. He's an affectionate boy who will run to them as soon as they come into a room. Then when they need to sit down and return to work, he's happy to lie down and take naps by their feet. He also loves to be held and cuddle with them.

He's an active boy whose favorite toy is a squeaky squirrel. He also loved playing with his two siblings, both of whom have been adopted. He also wants to play with this foster's two cats, but they don't want to, and he doesn't bother them much.

A curious boy, Pickelback already understands sit and come, and he's learning that place means it's time to curl up on his bed. He's begun crate training and while he adjusts to it, he stays in the kitchen with a baby gate and does well when his fosters are away from home. And he is working on his house training.

Pickelback will love a home with pet parents who are around a lot, and he will enjoy furry friends. He is an active boy who will become a perfect buddy for hiking and romping in Zilker park. Come meet this lovable boy. Offer to play with him and he'll run home with you!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
