Introducing Larkspur, a playful puppy who wants to be your friend! Larkspur is the perfect combination of active, intelligent, and sweet.
Larkspur is currently living in a foster home where she is learning all the tricks of the trade. She shares the home with her foster family's resident dog and does fine with him. She is young enough to adapt to a home with kids and cats. We're working with Larkspur on basic commands - she already knows "Sit, and she's working on "Down and "Leave It. And she is a pro at racing inside when you call "Puppy Puppy!" She thinks training is the best game ever, and will be anxious to learn more with you!
Larkspur has quickly gotten the hang of the house rules. Her housetraining is going well, and she's learned to become quite comfortable in her crate. Her foster family has been able to leave her alone while running errands, and receives a happy welcome from Larkspur when they return home. Larkspur has an adventurous spirit - she likes to explore the backyard and is unafraid of anything. When she hears a new sound, she's interested and stops what she's doing to listen intently. Of course, after such excitement, she'll be ready for some beauty sleep either on her bed or wherever she gets sleepy.
She also likes to cuddle and be held by her favorite people, preferably sitting on their laps to receive pets. And she loves her new "big puppy" privilege of evening TV snuggle time. Larkspur would love a home with a family who could continue her training and make sure she gets enough exercise. She'll be your walking (or running) partner, and she loves all the classic dog sports. Are you looking for a sweet baby puppy to grow into a great companion dog? Come meet Larkspur today!
PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:
Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
