Tempo has been in and out of the shelter a bunch over his short life. Tempo is a beautiful dog, in both looks and personality. He is a great combination of attentive and independent, and likes all people without reservation. He has done well with other dogs and has proven to be more companionable than playful - happy to amble along together or to go off and sniff his own flowers. He shows no concern over sharing space, toys, water bowls or attention. We don't know how he is with cats, but he has met a couple kids and is both comfortable and respectful. Tempo walks nicely on a leash and tries hard to keep a clean kennel at the shelter, always doing his business first thing when he gets out for walks. He is comfortable in the car and good on a leash, though he does like to stop and sniff, so walks can take a while. Beats towing you down the street though! In the shelter he can be a bit barky (not reactive, just bored, we think), but he is silent on car rides (even the 2 hour ride each way to the vet) and when walking about town (even when he sees other dogs or crazy things). Tempo has presented to us like a unflappable gentleman who can't wait to turn heads with a new family. Tempo is perfect being handled (he came in needing to lose at least one winter's coat of fur (and maybe more) and loved being brushed and fawned over. He's happy to watch TV and be snuggled with as an alternative. In short, Tempo has a great personality and seems highly adaptable to join a variety of homes. Can you help him out?
