Wheatns is urgently needing a foster! He is wonderful with people and like a true lab, is excited to meet everyone. He has only met one dog at the shelter, and was nervous and snippy with him. However, this dog was pushy and very excited, so he might do fine with a calmer dog OR having more time to be introduced to a dog. He has gone on a field trip that included a car ride (excellent passenger) and a visit to Petsmart. He was polite in store and tolerated dogs in his vicinity without any forced interaction. He's a beloved boy who just needs a home....fast. Can you give him one?

He has the chance to go home with someone for a couple days and these are the notes we have about that sleepover!

"She said he's a great dog. He seems house trained, no accidents inside. He's also crate trained and kennels up willingly. She has cats that he seems interested in. But he hasn't tried anything with them. He met her chi through a baby gate and both were excited, but no bad behavior. Then her shepherd got ugly through the baby gate, so she shut it down. She said Wheatns didn't seem to have any reaction to him. But she didn't have a 2nd person to help do intro. And since her dog was sassing it up, she played it safe. She said he has spurts of energy but calms down nicely. He can pull a bit on leash, though it's manageable and not too much to handle."
