Duchess

Duchess is a funny girl who loves anything that squeaks. She picked up a squeaky toy at a store and squeaked it all the way to be checked out. So funny! But she loves her human friends even more! She's very happy to be with them and is their total angel, very cuddly, and loves to get belly rubs. She rolls over for those.

She also loves lounging in her foster's yard with squeaky toys, bones to chew, and her favorite snack - peanut butter. She also likes running back and forth, chasing squirrels, sticking her nose everywhere, and sniffing. Then she's content to take naps, falling asleep when she gets petting on her face.

Duchess is very polite when she meets people. She wags her tail and gives their hands a kiss. She's met older children when out with her fosters and is very gentle, not jumping and kissing their hands. She may want to play with dogs she sees on her walks or maybe aloof and just keeps on walking and sniffing. She's a great walker with her harness, excited and getting zoomies when she sees the leash pulled out - and she doesn't often pull.

She is very smart and already understands 'sit,' 'nose,' 'lay down' and is working on 'wait.' She eats food and treats inside her crate and goes in willingly but doesn't want the door shut. She is house-trained, having improved greatly in the past month.

Duchess will love a home with active family members who are with her as much as possible and can handle her zoomies. She will love a fenced yard for doing those zoomies. Come meet her. Offer her a squeaky toy and she'll run home with you!
