Have you been looking for a high-energy dog that loves to cuddle? How about a friend for your dogs that will get them to play? How about a dog that is smart and easy to train? Lemon Pepper Stepper is the dog for you!

Lemon Pepper Stepper got her name for hopping up the stairs excitedly when she first came to her foster home. She loves to play with balls, toys, and most of all, her foster mom.

She loves to try to play with the smaller resident dog, but he's grumpy and doesn't want to play - but she'll keep trying respectfully. She has shown no signs of aggression with dogs or people. She gets very excited when she sees dogs on walks and plays very well with dogs of all sizes.

Lemon is treat-motivated and eager to learn. She already understands sit, snoot, up, and paw. She's very well-behaved when her fosters are away from home. And she is house-trained.

She loves to cuddle and give kisses and will do well in a home that has another dog she can play with or a pet parent who has an active lifestyle. She will also do best in a house with a yard as she loves to chase squirrels. Come meet this adorable young girl!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
