Twinkle

Twinkle's star shines bright and kind. She can be very shy when meeting new people or getting into new environments, but she's also very curious and warms up quickly to her people. When her fosters move around their home, she follows them from a safe distance, and when they sit down, she comes to get pets - and brings kisses. If allowed, she eventually climbs on the couch for some cuddles.

When APA! took Twinkle in, her age was estimated at 2 years, but since she came out of her shell in her foster home, her foster parents think she may be closer to 1 as she showed some typical puppy behavior.

She loves playing with toys and hoards them in her dog bed. She has started training and has already mastered 'sit.' Twinkle is house-trained and can be left home alone for at least four hours; she'll usually lie down under her favorite desk and has never been destructive.

Twinkle will love a home with a dog sibling or will like to take regular outings to dog parks or doggy daycare. She loves playing with dogs and completely forgets to be shy with other dogs around. She also gained a lot of confidence from her doggie sister.

She is always excited to go on walks, and her leash-walking skills have been improving. Twinkle rarely barks, and if she does, it's usually to challenge her doggy sister to play. She has shown little prey drive and no reactions to cats, although she hasn't met a cat up close.
