Sitter needed: 10/06/23 - 10/10/23

Bacon is very sure that he is a lap dog. His foster mom works from home and he loves to jump into her lap to tell her that it's time to take breaks and cuddle with him. He is very cuddly and loves to get petting. In return, he gives so many kisses.

This outgoing boy wants to be friends with everyone. He may jump up a little to meet new people but can be polite. He wants to be around his humans all the time but doesn't have anxiety when he's separated from them.

Bacon loves going on walks and is curious about other dogs he sees. If they react, he gets excited and pulls a bit, wanting to meet and play with them. He was approached by a growly off-leash dog and he had no negative reaction. He and his foster dog have begun playing together and are doing well. His fosters are making good progress on his leash-walk training.

At home, he's a confident boy who does well overnight in his gated area and doesn't mind being alone there even when he can see his fosters and the dog in another area. He's not locked in it but doesn't mind being there. He does well when his fosters are away from home for 8 hours. He appears house-trained, going outdoors for potty breaks.

Bacon will love a home with pet parents who have dog experience and can continue teaching him manners. He should do well with well-matched dogs he can play with as long as they have food and toys separately. Since he can be a bit jumpy, he should do best with older children. Meet Bacon.
