Cleo is a very friendly dog who loves meeting new people. Whenever she's out on walks and spots someone nearby, she becomes overjoyed, and her tail starts wagging vigorously. If they come to greet her, she jumps up and gives them kisses. She hopes they'll follow her home and relax on the couch with her!

At home, Cleo always wants to be around her foster parent. She's happy to snuggle up next to the chair and take naps while her foster parent works from home. She also enjoys cuddling and getting petted. Afterward, she might playfully run around and chew on her toys.

This playful young girl is currently sharing her home with two dogs, whom she loves equally. She understands that the older dog doesn't want to play, so she chooses to play with the younger one. She's also friendly and interested in other dogs she sees on walks. Cleo would be an ideal companion for playful dogs her size or larger, as she loves to wrestle and use her whole body in play.

Cleo is curious and will explore closets or rooms to find something interesting to chew. However, she understands the command 'sit' and is easily redirected with a toy or treat. She sleeps in her crate overnight and is comfortable spending time there when her foster parent is away from home. She's already house-trained, too.

Cleo is a low-maintenance dog who would thrive in a home with pet parents who can spend a lot of time with her and provide a balance between activity and relaxation. She would love to have a playful dog sibling. She isn't too concerned about having a backyard, so an apartment or a home with a small yard would be perfect. Don't hesitate to meet this sweet girl - she'll be delighted to see you!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
