Moondancer the playful puppy is eager to meet everyone! Moonie likes nothing more than to grab a toy, stick, or rope, but a close second is napping next to the closest human. She thinks backyards are the coolest thing ever. Moonie will give the biggest puppy eyes to anyone she sees until they come close enough to get their face licked. She has no fear, and lives for belly rubs.

Moonie is doing exceptionally well with training for a puppy. She consistently goes on puppy pads or outside, knows a few words, and is doing really well with crate training. She is very curious to meet other dogs once cleared. She redirects well to toys for teething. Moonie is still very young, so she would appreciate someone willing to help continue her training!

In an ideal setup, Moonie would do well with a fenced in back yard, lots of toys, and someone to keep an eye on her while she learns how the world works. Squeaky toys are best for getting her attention but she loves tug-o-war. She may be a bit playful for most cat temperaments, but a careful introduction and reinforcing boundaries would probably work out. She is very interested in meeting dogs but we still have a bit to go before she can start; so far, all indicators suggest she would do great with other dogs as long as she doesn't get too overzealous at playtime.

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
