Saphira’s story is one of love and devotion. After raising her puppies with all the care in the world, her little ones are now settled, and it’s Saphira’s turn to be cherished.

And trust us — this girl is an absolute gem.

Saphira is a stellar companion in every way. She’s fully housetrained with zero accidents and can be left unattended for 6–8 hours without issue. She walks beautifully on leash and has excellent recall. She loves attention, enjoys playing fetch, and likes chew toys (sturdy bone-type toys are best!). She has a leg that is awaiting an orthopedic evaluation, but it doesn’t slow her down from enjoying life in moderation.

Her sweetness extends to everyone she meets. Saphira is wonderful with people, kids, and other dogs, and she even does well with dog-savvy cats. She enjoys playful pups but also knows how to take a break when needed.

Now that her mama duties are behind her, Saphira is ready to soak up all the love, comfort, and stability she’s been waiting for. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, easygoing best friend, Saphira might just be your perfect match.

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 12:00PM - 6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!
