Catero is the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. One look in his direction and his tail starts wagging - he's just that happy to be around his people. With his big smile, floppy ears, and goofy personality, it's impossible not to fall for this charming senior.

At home, Catero is an expert lounger. You'll often find him stretched out on the couch, snoozing in bed, sunbathing in a warm patch of sunlight, or keeping you company while you watch TV. He's wonderfully relaxed when left alone and will happily nap the day away, though he'll always be ready to greet you at the door when you return.

While Catero loves his downtime, he's also enthusiastic about getting outside. Walks are one of his favorite activities, especially because they give him the chance to sniff absolutely everything. Don't expect to be in a hurry - Catero believes every scent deserves a thorough investigation. He also has a playful side and enjoys gentle games with his people, often turning your arm into his favorite "toy" with soft, silly play.

Catero is looking for a home where he can enjoy life's simple pleasures: good food, sunny spots to nap, leisurely walks, and plenty of companionship. If you're searching for a loyal, easygoing best friend with a heart of gold and a smile that never quits, Catero may be your perfect match.

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 12:00PM - 6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!
