Meet Finn 💙🐾
When Finn first arrived in foster care, he was so frightened that he barely acknowledged the world around him. He avoided eye contact, wouldn't take treats from a hand, and seemed convinced that people simply weren't meant to be trusted.
Today? He follows his foster around the house with a big smile, happily asking for belly rubs and gentle pets. Watching Finn discover that humans can be kind has been nothing short of incredible. ✨
Finn's journey has been built one small victory at a time. He now happily accepts affection from the person he trusts most and has even started making new human friends. Every week, two volunteers come over just to spend time with him. What began as barking and keeping his distance has transformed into calmly greeting them, taking treats from their hands, and making regular eye contact. They're not quite at the petting stage yet—but Finn keeps proving that, with patience, he's capable of amazing things. 💛
This handsome boy is also learning that the world outside isn't so scary. He's recently started wearing a leash and taking short walks in the front yard. New sounds and movement can still make him nervous, but the fact that he's willingly walking out the front door is a huge milestone worth celebrating. Every brave step builds on the last.
At home, Finn is a wonderful companion:

Finn absolutely lights up when he's playing with his dog buddy, Captain. A playful, well-adjusted resident dog would be a wonderful role model and help him continue growing in confidence.
Because Finn is still learning that unfamiliar people are safe, he'll thrive with an adopter who understands that trust takes time. He isn't the type of dog who will climb into a stranger's lap on day one—but for someone who enjoys watching a shy dog blossom, Finn offers something truly special. The bond you build with him will be earned, and it's the kind of connection that's hard to put into words.

Finn is also undergoing heartworm treatment and has been doing wonderfully throughout the process. His foster continues to see steady progress every week and truly believes he's ready to find the person who will help him write his next chapter.
