He's Been Waiting for His Family
No one knows how long he was on his own before he was found as a stray, but despite whatever life has thrown his way, he hasn't given up on people. In fact, he knows that somewhere out there, his person is looking for him too.

This sweet boy has a playful heart, curious spirit, and a bright mind. He already knows a few obedience cues, walks nicely on a leash (until a squirrel reminds him how exciting the world can be!), and absolutely loves learning new things. His favorite party tricks? Waving hello and giving high fives—because making people smile is one of his favorite jobs.

At first, he may seem a little cautious. Trust hasn't always come easily in his life. You're patientence with him will allow you to discover a dog who loves deeply. Once you become his person, he'll greet you with gentle affection, unwavering loyalty, and a bond that only a dog who's truly grateful for love can give.

Because he missed out on early socialization with other dogs, they can make him feel uncertain and overwhelmed. He would be hapiest in a home where he can be the center of someone's world, just as they'll become the center of his.

He doesn't need a perfect family. He just needs someone willing to see past his past and into the incredible dog he is today.

If you've ever believed that second chances can change a life, this is your chance to change his.

Come meet him. Let him wave hello, offer you a high five, and maybe—just maybe—walk away with your heart.

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 12:00PM - 6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!
